Behind every story of exploitation is someone who deserves safety, compassion, and a chance to begin again. Save the Child of God exists to help make that path possible.

We’re building the foundation for this work, beginning with education, relationships, and a commitment to vulnerable people in the El Paso and Ciudad Juárez community.

Recognize the harm

Help communities understand exploitation and learn where to turn for qualified help.

Care for the person

Build a compassionate approach that respects each person’s dignity, privacy, and need for support.

Work with care

Develop responsible relationships and referral pathways, with clear roles and honest limits.

Ruth’s RIER Program (Rescue, Investigate, Extinguish, & Restore) expresses her vision for this work. These are the goals we’re working toward as the organization develops.

Meet
Ruth Saunders.

Founder · El Paso, Texas

Ruth brings a career in federal investigations and a deeply held Catholic faith to the work of protecting vulnerable lives.

Her background includes service with U.S. Customs and Homeland Security Investigations, victim-witness work, and international liaison assignments. Her vision for Save the Child of God starts with a quieter first conversation, followed by careful, qualified support.

She’s building the organization around the dignity of the person, the value of human life, and the belief that justice and mercy belong together.
